  • Certified Playground Safety Inspector | MPRA

    PROGRAM DETAILS HEALTH & SAFETY REGISTRATION SPONSORS LODGING NOVEMBER 1-3, 2022 >> GLADSTONE, MO << The Missouri Park & Recreation Association, in conjunction with the National Recreation and Park Association, offers the industry-leading certification program in playground safety, the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification program. The CPSI certification program provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date training on playground safety issues including hazard identification, equipment specifications, surfacing requirements, and risk management methods. PROGRAM DETAILS PREPARATION You will receive your course materials approximately three weeks prior to the first day of the course. It is extremely important that you read the course materials prior to attending the class. Failure to study the materials before the course commonly leads to failure of the exam. ​ CERTIFICATION You will receive a notification with your exam results 6-8 weeks after the exam directly from NRPA. If you pass the exam you will be certified as a CPSI Inspector for a period of three years. At the end of your certification cycle, you can elect to attend the course again (recommended) or elect to take the exam only. Due to changes in regulations and content, it is highly recommended your repeat the course work prior to renewing your certification. CEUs Earn 1.5 CEUs while participating in this seminar. Please be sure to sign the attendance roster for NRPA’s records before you leave the seminar. NRPA will forward you a transcript of your attendance 6-8 weeks after the course is finished. QUESTIONS? Stay home if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are showing symptoms. 2. Stay home and monitor your health if you have had contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the course date. 3. Wear a mask for the entire course if the transmission rates meet or exceed the CDC High Transmission Risk rate in the county hosting the event. 4. Complete a Participant Health Liability Form and have temperature checked prior to entering the classroom each day. *All seats in the classroom will be at least 3 feet apart and frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned regularly.
