Eureka Parks and Recreation has closed our community center and recreation center and have cancelled all programs, rentals and events through at least April 3. We closed our playgrounds and park restrooms. Our full time staff continues to work from the recreation center.
St. Robert Parks and Recreation has cancelled community events. Our playgrounds remain open for now. With cleaning done weekly. Our Aquatic center remains closed until April 1st. Further closures and cancellations will be re-evaluated by April 1st to see if events and openings will resume. We thank all for your patience and understanding.
The City of Cape Girardeau, Parks and Recreation Department has suspended all activities, programs, events and rentals through April 3rd. Parks remain open for casual use. City offices are closed to the public. Online programs such as virtual fitness, wellness blogs and updates on City services are available. Staff have been advised to divide into two groups and work separately to avoid cross contamination of like positions in the future. Those that are available to work from home have been set up to do so. Parks and Rec "may" offer limited child care activities for City employees (in the planning stages). We are providing some positives like "Jeans are acceptable until further notice", we are sending around healthy fruit baskets to our teams and sending daily, info and uplifting messages. Washington is canceling rentals and P&R programs through April 30 (at this time) to take precautions against spreading the Corona virus. This would include facility rentals (including lake pavilion rentals) and departmental programs (such as volleyball, pickelball, Egg Hunt, Arbor Day etc.). Events ran by other organizations, such as Downtown Washington and the Chamber of Commerce, are canceling their events held in our facilities too. Rentals can rescheduled (if the facility is available) or patrons can receive a refund. Washington has also closed all athletic fields for practices and games until April 30, 2020. At that time the situation will be re-evaluated to see if play can resume.
Status of St. Louis County Parks as of March 17, 2020 at 6:00am is the following:--All parks, trails and park restrooms will remain open.--All indoor facilities (recreation centers and museums) and Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex will close thru at least Sunday, April 5th.--All programs, activities, events and rentals (regardless of size) are canceled thru at least Sunday, April 5th.--Park Rangers are continuing their duties as normal.
--Further closures and cancellations will be reevaluated by March 31st.

City of Rolla Parks and Recreation has cancelled reservations of pavilions, community hall, although for now, existing rentals can continue if under the limit of 50. Ballfields and permanent bathrooms in the parks are closed until at least April 6. This will likely get extended out further. Programming has also been postponed until that date, also probably extended out further. Playgrounds and dog park remain open for now. Playgrounds are being cleaned weekly. Maintenance staffing has plan in place to go to divided and separate work crews, working out of separate locations. Recreation center remains open for now, but with programming and group fitness classes cancelled TFN. City admin meeting weekly to update, review status. Social media, email, and traditional media being used to disseminate information.
Maryville Parks and Recreation has suspended all activities, programs, classes and events until further notice. The Community Center is CLOSED until April 6, 2020 at which time the Park Board will reevaluate the situation. Staff will be accessible through email and social media. Updates will also be available through our website and social media outlets

As of March 17, 2020, all Joplin Parks & Recreation events, programs,and facility/shelter rentals above 10 people have been suspended through April 3. The situation is rapidly changing, and we will be continually evaluating and updating as often as possible. We will resume normal operation as soon as it is appropriate to do so.

Wentzville Parks and Recreation has closed all indoor recreation facilities and postponed or cancelled programming through April 4. The reopening of facilities on that date will continue to be evaluated. Staff continues to work from their offices or telecommute. Those working in offices have been separated across locations so that an entire division does not work in one building.
The City of University has closed both the Heman Park Community Center and Centennial Commons Recreation Center effective at close of business on March 14, 2020 and will remain closed until further notice. All programs and activities held at these locations as well as within our parks have been cancelled as well. The reopening of these facilities is subject to change and will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. For more information, please check our website at

The Lodge Des Peres -- By order of the Des Peres Mayor and Director of Civil Defense, The Lodge Des Peres is closed effective at close of business on March 16, 2020 and to remain closed thru Sunday April 5, 2020 coinciding with the current closure of local schools. The reopening of The Lodge is subject to change as conditions continue to unfold and evolve and such closure will be re-evaluated prior to April 5th and may be extended for two months thru mid-May.
Members shall be given credit for time of closure. Currently, members that pay for their membership annually will receive one month added to the end of the membership. If members pay monthly, we will not process the payment on April 1.
The membership fee increases that were to go into effect on April 1, 2020 are being delayed until July 1, 2020.
